This is the second stable release in the 6 series.

There are quite a few changes since the 6.0 release, far too numerous to list completely. If you are really anxious to know everything in excruciating detail, the full 'diff' is here.

For the rest of you, here are some of the highlights:

  • Contexts, which are similar to ANS "vocabularies"
  • Faster compiling and runtime
  • Tons of new words
  • Many more libraries (including GUI libraries)
  • Many more examples
  • Much more comprehensive help system
  • Lots of bug fixes and improvements

I'm sure there are other things which are slipping my mind now, but these are the biggest items.

Patches

These are updates against 6.1, provided so you can update your distro to the latest. You can either apply them manually, or use the GNU "patch" utility (Win32 version) while in the "reva" directory:
