You’ve probably heard that Passover (''pesaḥ'') is a Big Deal. Therefore, Esther and I spent a good part of this week preparing the house (especially the kitchen). We corralled the non-''pesaḥ'' food items into one spot; we’ll get rid of them completely in a short while.<br />
<br />
We made a few shopping trips to lay in supplies, since we try to not purchase anything during the week of “intermediate days” of the holiday. Half the country has the same idea, though; so shopping is not as enjoyable an experience (as it never is, for me).<br />
<br />
But we got our situation straightened out, and we’re looking forward to an enjoyable ''pesaḥ'' week. We’ll probably do some touristy things with my mom.<br />
<br />
However, time is short and there is much to do yet; so I’ll sign off for today and get back to you next Thursday (Friday is ''yom-tov'' next week, so it’ll have to be Thursday).<br />
<br />
We’ve several guests for the ''seder'', including Sarah. <br />

veggie ''matza''-ball soup,<br />

potato ''kugel'',<br />
''tzimmes'',<br />
rice,<br />
''bamia'' in tomato sauce,<br />
and desserts.<br />
