Mazal tov, mazal tov! “Baby C” is now “Joseph Alexander” in English, or “יוסף אברהם” in Hebrew. His names honor one of Jeremy’s great-grandfathers as well as Daniela’s grandfather. We hope, trust, and pray that little Yosef Avraham will grow up to make his namesakes proud. Certainly he’s started out well!

The week for us, in general, has involved (1) enjoying the intermediate days of the Passover festival, and (2) taking care of all the things one must in order to travel ''During the Age of Corona''.

We enjoyed the festival days by getting together with friends, and by having a nice lunch with Sarah in Tel Aviv. It’s the first time we’ve been out to a nice restaurant in more than a year — but I’m unsure just how much more — a long time, suffice it to say. The meal was excellent, and we loved seeing our daughter. However…

… we had forgotten just how excruciatingly painful it is to travel anywhere popular during the “intermediate days”. Tel Aviv’s traffic is never good, but when what seems like the entire country is also traveling to the same general area as you are, the traffic situation becomes dire. Dire is not too extreme a word: take my advice next year, Ron, and don’t make the same mistake!

Preparing to travel ''During the Age of Corona'' involves among other things, getting a PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hours of your arrival at the destination. Since that would mean getting a test on ''shabbat'', we had to arrange a “fast test”. Which, of course, costs a lot more. As it turns out, there is a [https://check2fly.co.il/auth ''much'' cheaper testing facility] at the airport itself. So we’ve made arrangements to have sticks jammed in our sinuses on Sunday, giving us time to recover from the outrage before our flight.

The things we do for love.

Once again, the weather should be nice for this weekend, but below average temperatures. The forecast for our travel destination is roughly the same temperatures, so that’s nice!
Our ''shabbat'' and ''ḥag'' menu includes:<br>
