This time around, Sarah got checked again and the doctor said whatever she might have wasn’t in his field. So she’s still looking.

Jeremy’s become famous: one of his cousins is an author who mentioned him in an article in HaAretz this week. So we have to purchase the paper (though it hurts me…)

* If you’re wondering why Israelis keep Netanyahu in power, [https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/israels-reality-check-from-incendiary-balloons-to-petah-tikva-stabbing-640052 read on].
* The brouhaha over [https://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2020/08/israel-ukraine-saudi-arabia-uman-pilgrimage-hajj-coronavirus.html “pilgrimages” to Uman] is getting more raucous. I say: if you feel you need to spend Rosh HaShana in a Gentile land, praying at the grave of someone who might not even be buried there, you might as well just convert out and be done with it.
* Ambassador Oren writes that the UAE-Israel announcement [https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/23/opinions/uae-israel-announcement-iran-opinion-oren/index.html proves the folly of warming to Iran]. Indeed, we have to praise the Obama administration for being so inept it actually forced the more “moderate” Arab states to seek alliance with Israel against Iran. Or maybe that was Obama’s 5D chess strategy all along?

Tech stuff:

As I’ve mentioned before, you need to assess the total life-cycle costs (mining/manufacturing/upkeep/disposal). Solar panels aren’t as good as they’re claimed to be.
