Important notice: last week’s AWOL socks were found! I had apparently miscategorised them while folding, and was left with an extra one of each kind. Perhaps I should wear glasses while folding laundry? Or maybe just get rid of one of the varieties…

I did, in fact, continue with my HIIT exercise program from last week, four times a week. I’m anxious to see how, if at all, it improves my health. Curious minds want to know!

We also met up with our friends’ son this week, in Jerusalem. It had been a while since we’d been in Jerusalem in the late afternoon, and the city was absolutely packed. So was the restaurant. We had a nice visit, and enjoyed our outing (and the meal).

The heat wave this week was pretty intense, but it’s cooled back down to normal temperatures and is supposed to be “seasonably normal” for ''shabbat''. Excellent!

This ''shabbat'' we’re planning on having:
 
homemade ''ḥalla'',
leek soup,

baked salmon,
roasted eggplant,
roasted vegetables,
various fruits,
and watermelon.
