We’re wending our way towards the upcoming visit to the US. It’s just a week away, now. Can you feel the excitement in the air?!?<br />

To satisfy demands, suggestions, and hints, we did a fair bit of shopping this week. We now have the better part of one suitcase dedicated to the needs of the visitees. I now appreciate our foresight in having payed a bit extra so we could tote extra luggage…<br />
<br />
Between this and that, we worked. I came down with a chest-cold accompanied by a sore throat. The home-variety COVID test showed I don’t have that, so it’s merely the usual miserable affliction. Fortunately, it should be well over before we travel. Except for the cough: that will linger for a month or more, if my personal history is a guide.<br />

We’re very (!) happy to have Sarah and Yarin visit us for ''shabbat'' dinner. I’m sure my daughter will bequeath us something additional to stash in our luggage.<br />

The weather has been stable: no rain, not freezing or boiling. Just… there. Scheduled to be clear and dry and cool for ''shabbat''.<br />
<br />
Sarah and Yarin’s visit necessitates some special preparations! So this ''shabbat'' we’ll have:<br><br />

eggplant Parmesan,<br />
steamed broccoli,<br />
pasta with pesto,<br />
