Happy birthday, Daniela!

This is being sent Thu evening (EST) as opposed to Fri morning (IST) because we’re back in the Olde Country, visiting the Grands et. fam.

The flight was long but reasonably OK, and we got to Daniela’s around 8 in the morning. The kids were already on their way to school, so we had most of the day to rest up after the flight and get ready for the onslaught. And it’s good we did, because let’s just say the Grands have more energy than several nuclear reactors. And, needless to say, we’re not quite as energetic as once we were.

That said, they were all very excited to see us “in the flesh” as opposed to virtually, and we were as well (of course). But we’ve been jet-lagged and so, there’s not much to the blog this week.

Not much ado about very little:

On a very positive note: Yarin got a job offer, and should be starting after New Years some time! So both he and Sarah are now employed, which makes living in NY a lot easier. Good luck to both of them!

It’s considerably colder here than in The Land, and we’re looking at some significant temperature drops over the next couple days. Fortunately, the house has heating. We’ll probably be playing with the Grands all ''shabbat'', when we’re not in ''shul'' or at meals (or sleeping!).

This ''shabbat'' we’re at Daniela’s! I think we’ll have:<br>
homemade ''ḥallah'',
orange soup,
London broil,
oven fries,
green beans,
various ''salatim'',
and chocolate-chip cookies.<br>
