Of course, “Baby C” might actually be the name they’ve chosen. You never can tell with Daniela…

Mother and son are fine, and presumably will remain in hospital for several more days, at least until the beginning of the “intermediate days” of ''pesaḥ''. I think she really wanted an excuse to get out of the ''seder'' this year.

That’s ok, Esther and I have been preparing all week for the upcoming holiday. This morning, we’ll prepare fresh “soft” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matzo ''maṣoth''] as we’ve done the past couple years. Unlike years past, however, we’ve got to make a larger quantity because Sarah wants some as does one of our neighbors. Maybe there’s a business there.

We voted, somewhat reluctantly. The results so far seem to be that we’ll have a fifth election sometime later this year. ''Plus ça change'' and all that.

The pre-''pesaḥ'' weather did not disappoint! We had the requisite dust-storm, which made all the neighborhood’s cars look like mud had been dumped on them. Then a bit of rain came and washed some of the mud off. So much for washing the car!

Our holiday forecast calls for seasonably nice weather, clear and dry. The holiday starts immediately after ''shabbat'', so we’ve got a twofer this week.
