My MQ (Manliness Quotient) was well above normal this week, while Esther’s FQ (Fell Questions) kept me on track:

I replaced a ceiling fixture in our kitchen, changing the dying fluorescent one with a spanking new LED one. The kitchen is much brighter.

Then, I found a small container of the paint we’d used in our “salon”, so rather than repainting all the walls, I just touched-up the parts messed up by the A/C installer. Hopefully, it’ll blend in after a few days.

Not content with that, I [https://www.ynet.co.il/PicServer4/2015/11/03/6610580/6610577099580640360yes1130.jpg removed the “tris”] (internal slatted blinds) in our kitchen window, and stopped up the hole with drywall and patched it up. The rest of the week I was fixing up the surface of that wall and the rest of the walls in the kitchen, so we can paint them next week.

Turning my attention to the “BBQ chimney” project, I removed the bottom “tubes” and cut off the bottom, and scraped out a ''lot'' of fiberglass insulation. I hate that stuff! More manliness, next week (if I survive).

Various and sundry:

I finally made the [https://8th-dev.com/forum/index.php?topic=2981.msg17246 major release of 8th] I’d been threatening. I’m sure there’s all sorts of indecently exposed bits that need love, but I had to get that monkey off my shoulders so I could turn my attention to more immediate matters.

We went for a medical visit near the “shuq” in Jerusalem, and had lunch afterwards at a new place, “Crispy Chicken”. The food was tasty and abundant, and less expensive than our accustomed favorite “Fish’en’Chips”. Recommended if you like fried chicken (and if you don’t, are you really human?).

Today Esther’s out with her knitting knuts; and as she’ll return later on, prepping ''shabbat'' is mostly on me. Thoughts and prayers!

This ''shabbat'' we (I) will cook up:

Lancashire hot-pot,
various ''salatim'',
tuna salad,
and ice-cream.
