A year and a half ago, more or less, Esther had signed us up to attend [https://feverup.com/en/jerusalem-israel a musical performance] in Tel Aviv. Then Iran attacked, and the performance was “deferred” to a later date. So at that later date we signed up again, but Iran attacked ''again'' and the performance was delayed again. This time around, we signed up for it in Jerusalem, and I said that if IR attacked ''once again'' on our date, it would indicate the performance was cursed.

In the meantime, Esther found an excellent deal at a very [https://www.inbalhotel.com fancy hotel in Jerusalem] so we could be there, not far from the venue, on the date of the performance. So that’s where we were this week: two days, completely disconnected from our usual shenanigans, just relaxing in Jerusalem. And as a bonus, Iran decided to let us enjoy the evening!

Besides the concert, we also took in (one of) the [https://thekotel.org/en/tours/western-wall-tunnels/2/ Western Wall tunnel tours]. It was very interesting, the guide was excellent, and afterwards… we ate out. Well, what else?!?

* Five out of six Israeli desalination plants [https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/article-907157 went offline this week], causing water rationing. The reason given was “severe seawater turbidity”; I’m calling BS, because it seems far more likely that an Iranian hacking attempt succeeded. After all, IR has targeted desalination plants (with missiles, true…) in the Gulf countries. But what do I know?

According to our town’s mayor, our specific water situation has been resolved and we don’t have to skimp on water usage. Apparently the “turbidity” is being controlled and the systems are back online.

The weather is supposed to not be too hot this ''shabbat'' (only a max of 32C [~90F]) in our fair town. Still the AC is needful…

This ''shabbat'' we’re planning on having:

''arroz con pollo'',
various ''salatim'',
probably other stuff,
and chocolate mousse.
