Unfortunately, they did not work properly for me on &#039;&#039;&#039;three&#039;&#039;&#039; different machines!<br /> <br /> What do you need to do?<br /> # Follow the above instructions, but when it hangs (as it did for me three times), &#039;kill&#039; the upgrade process, &#039;&#039;&#039;ignore&#039;&#039;&#039; the &quot;reboot&quot; notice, and then<br /> # Open a terminal window and type: &lt;tt&gt;sudo dpkg --configure -a&lt;/tt&gt;<br /> # When that ends, type: &lt;tt&gt;sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade&lt;/tt&gt; just to make sure you have the latest<br /> <br /> Now you should be able to reboot and everything &#039;&#039;should&#039;&#039; work.</div>
