Yet another busy week, yet more medical appointments, some more work meetings. “All normal”, in other words.

This morning we’re having Sarah and Yarin over, along with Yarin’s family. It’s the first time we’ve met each other, so Esther and I will try not to frighten them too much. We’re working on assembling a brunch: I’m making a sourdough focaccia, and Esther’s making everything else. Coffee will be served…

Mom’s toes are looking a bit alarming; that is, the doctor was alarmed at their appearance. So we’ve got an appointment on Sunday for more in-depth medical decision-making. We’re hoping a bit of Windex can clear things up.

As for me, well: the ultrasound of my neck didn’t show anything alarming, so my GP wanted me to see a “mouth and jaw” specialist since he thought my problem is TMJ related. Since there’s no such specialty in the list provided by the health-fund, I went to the dentist. He said my problem has nothing to do with TMJ, and he palpated a swollen lymph gland where I’ve been having pain. I’m curious why the ultrasound didn’t pick it up, nor did my GP… In any event, I notified my GP and he started me on antibiotics. I also found an ENT and made an appointment for next week. The struggle is real!

The state of the world:

I’ve kept busy with clients’ projects, and am working on closing a deal for a project solely in 8th. Soon, B”H!

The weather was very pleasant this week, and we might see a bit of drizzle on shabbat! Looking forward, as always, to a quiet time.

This shabbat we are planning on:
homemade ḥalla, pot roast, chicken cacciatore, rice, various salatim, and cookies.

Until next time,
shabbat shalom!
