December 1st
Both Esther and I extended our stay this week, because my brother Keith ob”m passed away last Friday.
He was a gentle, kind, generous, and selfless man. He was a good brother, a good brother-in-law, a good son, a good uncle, and a good person.
We miss him, but were gratified to have been able to spend time with him at the end, and hopefully make his last days more pleasant.
Esther and I spent this week trying to help my mom prepare for being on her own, for the short term at least, while we work on getting her situated for the long-term. It’s been a difficult several weeks, for all of us.
We would like to thank our dear friends and relatives (you know who you are) who’ve helped us make this trip more productive and less stressful than it otherwise would have been.
This shabbat we’ll be staying with my mom, and Esther will work her magic to provide:
baked salmon,
ḥalla,
zucchini and mushrooms,
(some other things probably),
and banana bread.
We return to the Land on Monday, B”H!
