Hi, again!
It's rapidly coming up on pesaḥ, the holiday where people whip around in a frenzy cleaning up their homes and cleaning out the stores. We've tried to be more calm and orderly about the process of getting ready, and I think this year we've had the easiest transition to pesaḥ-ready we've ever had.
We've all been extremely busy this week. Mostly, we were shopping, so I won't bother telling you all about that -- believe me, it wasn't interesting. But Esther and I did donate blood, since the Magen David Adom was conducting a blood drive here in Maale Adummim. Really, that was the highlight of the week...
So on that note, I'll wrap up this week's edition with Odds and Ends:
- US Police increasingly peep at emails
- Microsoft loves this: hard disks which erase themselves -- without even using Windows!
- Are you in China? No time-travel for you!
- How do you know that you are too stupid to be a 'hacker'?
- And last but not least, Tawil and friends celebrate Passover. Dayyenu!
This week Sarah will be spending shabbat at a friend's house. On the other hand, we've got six guests for lunch, none of whom we know, and with whom we don't have a common language. It should be interesting! Hopefully, they won't mind the shabbat-before-pesaḥ food: grilled hot-dogs, shepherd's pie, salat petitim, tabouleh, baked chicken, tomato soup, tuna salad, beets, egg salad and pita.
Until next week,
shabbat shalom!
