We had a pretty busy week. I started off by visiting my GP and consulting with her about my new meds. Esther was able to take advantage of that opportunity to ask about her own issues. Nothing serious, just annoying.

Then I had to take my car in for its yearly service. Since it also had a complicated “recall”, the service would take most of the day. So, I went my way home by foot, bus, light-rail, bus, and foot. Only took a bit more than an hour… but at least I was home. Later on, Esther and I made the reverse trip to pick up the vehicle so we could park it in the park-n-ride, so that…

… we could go to the birthday get-together one of our friends had arranged for her husband. We did have a nice evening, but it was a very long day.

In Israeli news, former PMs Bennett and Lapid announced they were launching a new party called “Yachad” (= “together”). Ironically, in his fresh campaign posters, Bennett appears alone. I told Bennett he should have named his new effort “The Idiots”, but he didn‘t respond. Typical politician! Anyway, I‘m rather doubtful these two will be successful, but it‘s early days yet.

Here and there:

The Donald has now survived three assassination attempts, thank God. It seems the absolute nutters infected with TDS seriously believe their own propaganda and are willing to go to any extreme to get rid of “Literally Hitler”. SAD!

The weather for shabbat is going to be hot (~30C) so we‘ll probably have the A/C running, just for comfort‘s sake.

This shabbat we‘re out for one meal; for the rest, our intention is to have:
homemade ḥallah, vegetable soup, chicken piccata, rice, artichokes, various salatim, and date-walnut bread.

Until next time,
shabbat shalom!
