The weather was pleasant! It was seasonal this week, and warmed up towards the end. However, the near-term forecast calls for dropping temperatures and rain for the next several days. Oh, well; we’ll enjoy the warmth while it lasts.

Everyone’s been talking about the US election primary cycle. From Hillary “feeling the ‘Bern” to Cruz whacking Trump in Iowa. It’s a sad day when the best news is that neither Hillary nor Trump won their opening salvos. Hillary, it appears, has over the years received a lot of anti-Israel advice from her “advisors”. Trump’s record on Israel is chequered to say the least. Sanders is no better, despite being “the Jewish candidate”. Well, after all, Obama was the first Jewish president, so Sanders can’t milk that one.

Sarah and I went to replace her desk-lamp. The one she’s had for at least seven years finally decided to give up the ghost. So we went to the “ACE” hardware store, and found the exact same model being sold (different color, though). Sarah was really happy to find the perfect replacement, since she really likes the lamp. The salesman was trying to dissuade us from buying it since, in his words, “it’s a bad-quality lamp”. So we told him it lasted for at least seven years, which is pretty much better than anything else we’ve ever bought at ACE. Anyway, mission accomplished!

We reached an agreement on the terms of the arrangement with the company we’ve been talking to, but the person we’ve been dealing with came down with the flu — so we’re still waiting for the contract to be signed and finalized. Still, it’s right around the corner (presumably). Next week we should be able to divulge details.

Besides that, we revamped our product list and released version 16.02 of our product.

Esther’s embarked on a sweater-knitting mission. One day I’ll have a new sweater, B”H. This winter I did use sweaters more than I have in the past, so hopefully the new one will see a lot of use.

We’ve got a full house this shabbat. My nephew and his fiancé as well as other guests. On the menu:
brisket, roasted chicken, stuffed veggies, potato salad, mushroom-onion quiche, roasted yams, roasted veggies, salatim, cookies, and a guest dessert to be unveiled later.

Until next time,
shabbat shalom!
